Using time efficiently is not always easy. I hope these tips will help you achieve your big dreams!
- Find a time during the day when you have the most energy and motivation to work.
- Find a place that gives you inspiration and where you can focus at.
- Being messy will make you more stressed. Clean out excess clutter from your working environment.
- Reduce the time you spend on social media to avoid getting frustrated over seeing other people being successful. Prioritise making your own dreams become reality!
- Don’t wait for the perfect conditions to launch a project. Perfect conditions don’t exist. Immediate action will release more energy that you can use to continue with your project!
- Free yourself from negative things/people who steal your enthusiasm.
- Consequently, surround yourself with positive, energised and motivated people. It will quickly rub off to you!
- Create a working routine. Your productivity will increase if your brain knows you are truly devoted to reaching your goals.
- Start the habit of waking up early. It will strengthen your willpower to use the time you have sacrificed for sleeping an hour less.
- Visualise your goals through keeping a journal.
- Make lists. It will help you stay organised and will make you feel achieved every time you check off a box.
- Make a list of things not to do. Just as important as the things that you have to do are the things you should ignore in order to stay productive.
- Learn to say no. If you are like me and like to say yes to every request someone wants from you, there will be no time for the things you have to do for yourself!
- Think before you act and get things right the first time. This will save you a lot of hassle and time!
- Cut distractions and concentrate on one task. Multi-tasking will not give you satisfying results in either activity.
- Take breaks and work in intervals. Reboosting your energy during breaks and through eating healthy snacks will maximise productivity once you continue.
- Eat healthy, drink lots of water! If you lack energy from drinking too little water or follow a diet that doesn’t provide you with enough vitamins, your productivity will decrease.
- Set up an exercise plan. Sports will boost your energy level.
- Don’t overwhelm yourself with too many tasks.
- Take time off to do the things that you really enjoy doing.
- Use the time you spend commuting to school or work. 30 minutes in the bus can be 30 minutes of learning through reading or listening to audio books.
- Don’t always be available. Switch off your phone and other electronic devices to solely focus on the task you are trying to accomplish.
- Reward yourself, in whichever form this may be. Recognising your own efforts and successes will grant you new energy to be productive on the next day.
Time is valuable and limited – use it wisely and be productive!
